The Association of Women Awareness and Rural Empowerment (AWARE) is a Christian women-led organization dedicated to empowering women belonging to religious minorities in Pakistan.
Established in 2016 by a group of resilient Christian women, AWARE was born out of the growing need to address the multiple layers of discrimination faced by minority women, especially Christians, in Pakistan.
These women came together in response to increasing persecution, social exclusion, and economic neglect suffered by religious minorities. AWARE stands as a beacon of hope and resistance, striving to uplift and empower marginalized women.
A society in which every woman—regardless of religion or background—lives with dignity, exercises her rights fully, and contributes actively to development and peace.
To empower marginalized women, especially from religious minority communities, through advocacy, skills training, legal awareness, and leadership development, creating inclusive, resilient communities rooted in justice and equality.

serving minority communities across Pakistan
Tailoring, beauty services, handicrafts for economic empowerment.
Reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, and sanitation awareness.
Domestic violence laws, child rights, and minority protections.
Relief during floods, COVID-19, and crises for Christian families.
Promoting peace and social cohesion across communities.
Unlike mainstream women's rights groups, AWARE is rooted in the lived experience of Christian minority women. It addresses specific vulnerabilities they face — forced conversions, early marriage, harassment in domestic work, and limited representation. Every program is tailored to empower these women as agents of change in their families and communities.
Empower women through livelihood training and access to income-generation opportunities.
Promote rights awareness and protection from gender- and faith-based violence.
Build leadership among Christian women to actively participate in community and civic spaces.
Provide legal aid, psychosocial support, and protection services to women and girls facing discrimination.
Foster peacebuilding and inclusive development through interfaith collaboration.
