The Association of Women Awareness and Rural Empowerment (AWARE) is a Christian women-led organization dedicated to empowering women belonging to religious minorities in Pakistan. Established in 2012 by a group of resilient Christian women, AWARE was born out of the growing need to address the multiple layers of discrimination faced by minority women, especially Christians, in Pakistan. These women came together in response to the increasing persecution, social exclusion, and economic neglect suffered by religious minorities. AWARE stands as a beacon of hope and resistance, striving to uplift and empower marginalized women by giving them voice, visibility, and the tools they need to lead dignified lives.
A society in which every woman—regardless of religion or background—lives with dignity, exercises her rights fully, and contributes actively to development and peace.
To empower marginalized women, especially from religious minority communities, through advocacy, skills training, legal awareness, and leadership development, creating inclusive, resilient communities rooted in justice and equality.
